Greetings, lovely Readers!
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet. I decided to take up this project in early 2014 for two reasons. One, to dust off the layers of neglect on my poor journalism degree. And two, to attempt to make a difference, even if it’s a small one. I have struggled pretty much my entire life with self-confidence. It’s a day-to-day adventure, and sometimes quite difficult, to improve what I think when I look in the mirror. I know I’m by no means alone in this war. I’ve had quite a bit of character building experiences since mid-2013, to put it nicely. Albeit sometimes heartbreaking and difficult, it has all served its purpose in my life and took me down some new and really wonderful paths (some, not so wonderful).
More than anything, I’ve learned that sometimes it doesn’t necessarily take a huge outside inspiration to make your situation or just a single day better. It could be a pedicure. A sweaty yoga class. A strenuous walk or a latte and a stroll around NorthPark. Maybe a new lip gloss. A black and white movie. A naughty book about hot cowboys (don’t lie!). Listening to NWA for two hours. Or for the lucky ones, it could be going to work, because their work is truly their passion (and I need to know how they made that happen!) It could be any number of things. And I’m willing to try just about any of them.
